Starting out as a radio presenter, Alison moved to television and quickly became the queen of lifestyle programming. She was a stand-in presenter, along with her former husband, for Richard and Judy on This Morning for four years, and has presented plenty of her own shows too - making her the perfect host for QVC.
Alison's distinctive voice is often heard on voice-overs, advertising brands like Sainsbury's, Argos and Cadbury World. You can even hear her providing passenger information for Silverlink Railways and the Great Western line, and she's the voice of Alpine's satellite navigation system. She's also turned her hand to writing drama and programme ideas for TV. When she's not working, Alison loves spending time with her three children.

The Bridges of Madison County which is stunning but a real weepy, or for a laugh The Pink Panther Strikes Again.
Recollection of a Journey by Richard C. Hutchinson; it's a moving documentation of a Polish family in WWII. Another favourite is The Last Time They Met by Anita Shreve, which has an incredible twist at the end.

I love doing shows with Joan Rivers. She's so unpredictable, and it's great to work with such a legend who shares your sense of humour.
